MEASURES UNBERTAKEN TO PREVENT RAGGING AT AIMSR, CHITTOOR

1. STEPS TAKEN AT INSTITUTIONAL LEVEL

  • The directions of the Supreme Court and the direction of the Government of Andhra pradesh with reference to prevention and prohibition of ragging have been included in the student handbook.
  • In the advertisement for admissions, there is mention about a total ban on ragging in the college and anyone found guilty is liable for appropriate punishment.
  • The regulations are displayed in the hostel, hospital and college notice boards, and in prominent places.
  • Anti-Ragging Programme.
  • An Anti-Ragging committee and anti-ragging squad have been constituted and steps were taken to implement the anti-ragging Programme.
  • A Psychologist has been appointed for student counseling and guidance.
  • The General Warden and Deputy Wardens for men and women students have been asked to monitor the students and their well being constantly.
  • Security has been strengthened.
  • Students are informed and sensitized on appropriate punishment as per the laws.
  • Since the students are in the first year, so far no ragging has been reported.
  • As on date no incident of ragging has been reported or brought to the notice of the anti-ragging committee.
  • The anti-ragging squad has not identified any incident of ragging.
